Meet Katie Rose
Katie Rose Molina Browning is a Certified Herbalist, Flower Essence Practitioner, Qigong Instructor, sound healer, Earth-Centered Ceremonialist & Mother.
She is based in the Arenal region of Costa Rica and is the visionary of embodying herbalism.
Katie's journey into Herbalism truly began growing up as a ‘wild child’ in the forests of Rockies of Colorado. As as a teenager in Northern California, she experienced a health crisis that brought her to take her interest in the healing power of plants much more seriously. In 2000 she decided to take her personal experiences and passions to a professional level and attended the Rocky Mountain Center for Botanical Studies, culminating with her Herbalist Certificate. Through continued extensive apprenticeships in Vitalist, Wise Woman, and Earth Centered Herbal traditions over the years, her commitment to the green path spiraled, deepened and grew with the completion of many other professional herbal & holistic trainings and experiences.
Katie continues a profound soul journey with the plants, nurturing a career and heartfelt connection to the plant realm for over two decades. She has upheld a private practice and spent many years serving communities at esteemed herbal apothecaries like The Scarlet Sage in San Francisco and Rebecca's Apothecary in Boulder. Her passion for community education has led to teaching everything from small community classes to co-creating international herbal gatherings like, Medicines from the Edge, and presenting at botanical conferences worldwide.
Katie Rose is the visionary behind Embodying Herbalism, which is rooted at her family’s tranquil sanctuary, Casa Vida Flor. At her beautiful rainforest center she primarily hosts in-person 1:1 and small group curated mentorships, leeds community classes/workshops and monthly lunar Womens circles, She passionately serves clients, offers healing sessions of various modalities, whilst also stewarding and tending to the garden and land and crafts a line of tropical Costa Rican flower essences. This is complemented by Katies distance & Online offerings - personal consultations. herbal mentorships, Qigong classes via Zoom. Katie also co-facilitates Immersions & Retreats in exciting collaborations worldwide!
In addition to her extensive herbal expertise, Katie delves into diverse realms of holistic wisdom. She has apprenticed with Indigenous elders, completed a year-long feminine wisdom ceremonial training with All Seasons Chalice, holds a Permaculture Design Certificate, attended the Flower Essence Society Professional Course in 2018, completed a 3-phase Qigong Instuctor training with Adam Holtey in Ashland, OR, has studied multiple Sound Healing modalities and consistently is weaving her own practices into a tapestry of her offerings for others.
